We are increasingly aware of the rapid changes that have occurred in our culture over the past 40 or so years. Also, attitudes to Christianity, and our foundational values have changed swiftly with a ‘new story’ being persuasively fed into us—especially to our children. Whether it’s about origins, sexuality, morality, the purpose of life, all are being re-written and any critique is hastily put down. This seminar aims to give an analysis of these things, and point to how we might respond.

John Stevens is the FIEC National Director, a role he has held since 2010. Alongside his FIEC responsibilities, he is also one of the pastors of Christchurch Market Harborough. John teaches on courses at Oak Hill Theological College, Edinburgh Theological Seminary, Union School of Theology and the Cornhill Training Course. He was born and raised in Birmingham, studied Law at Cambridge University (where he became a Christian) and then taught Law for sixteen years. John is married to Ursula and they have four children.
